READ MOREWhat is the difference between the SPCC cold-rolled steel and EG steel for the 19" Fixed shelf rack panel for network cabinet?
SPCC, which stands for cold-rolled ordinary carbon steel plate, is a widely used high-quality metal material. The low carbon content makes the SPCC material have excellent weldability. During the welding process, low-carbon steel plates are not prone to defects such as cracks and pores, and the strength and toughness of the welded joints can be well guaranteed, thus meeting the needs of various welding processes.
Secondly, the cold deformation performance of SPCC steel plates is also excellent. At room temperature, the material can adapt to complex shapes and size requirements through plastic deformation. Whether it is stamping, bending or stretching, it can be easily dealt with, and it is not easy to rebound or deform after processing, ensuring the accuracy and stability of the product. In terms of physical properties, the density of SPCC steel plate is about 7.85g/cm³, which makes the material have a higher mass at the same volume, thereby enhancing its structural strength and bearing capacity. At the same time, its tensile strength is high, and it can maintain a stable shape when subjected to large tensile stress, and it is not easy to break or fail. In addition, the ductility of SPCC steel plate is also good, and it can undergo large plastic deformation without damage when subjected to external force, further improving its processing and use performance.
After the cold rolling process, the internal structure of the SPCC steel plate is more uniform and the grain is refined, which not only improves the strength and hardness of the material, but also improves its comprehensive mechanical properties. At the same time, the cold rolling process also makes the surface of the SPCC steel plate flat and smooth, reduces surface defects and roughness, and improves the appearance quality and surface quality requirements of the product. This high-quality surface provides a good foundation for subsequent further processing, such as galvanizing, coating and other surface treatment processes can be more easily implemented on SPCC steel plates to meet the anti-corrosion and aesthetic needs of different customers for products.
EG steel is made by electrolytic galvanizing, that is, a layer of zinc is plated on the surface of the cold-rolled steel plate to improve the rust and corrosion resistance of the steel plate. Compared with hot-dip galvanized steel plate, the galvanizing amount of EG steel is less, generally about 20 grams per square meter, while the galvanizing amount of GI steel plate can reach more than 45 grams per square meter. Due to the presence of the galvanized layer, EG steel has certain anti-rust and corrosion resistance, but its anti-corrosion ability is weaker than that of GI steel. The electrolytic galvanizing process makes the surface of EG steel more uniform and smooth, but due to the thin galvanized layer, its surface hardness may be slightly lower than that of ungalvanized cold-rolled steel. Compared with GI steel, EG steel has lower cost and simpler production process, so it is widely used in some occasions where the anti-corrosion requirements are not particularly high.
The main differences between SPCC cold-rolled steel and EG steel in terms of material composition, physical properties, surface quality and anti-corrosion performance. When choosing the material of the 19" Fixed shelf rack panel for network cabinet, these factors need to be comprehensively considered according to the specific application scenarios and needs.
